New Sausage Standard For Cost Sector

Setting new standards for the fast food and cost sector market sectors, Snowbird Foods has launched a Premium Range of fully cooked and frozen products which will also appeal to cost conscious hotels and bed and breakfast outlets.

Using only top quality pork and store cupboard seasonings, the stars of the new range are expected to be three sizes of sausage: 100g Jumbo, 50g Standard and 12.5g Cocktails.

All are in 4 kilo cases and the weights are declared after cooking – not the (higher) raw weight.

"We are setting new standards for the fully cooked sausage sector with this move which the market both deserves and expects from its leading manufacturer," said Snowbird sales director, Roy Anderson.

Other products in this new range are:

  • Gourmet Cumberland 80g fully cooked sausages in 4.16 kilo cases;
  • Sage & Onion 30g Stuffing Balls in 3.5 kilo cases; and
  • Italian 25g Meat Balls in 4 kilo cases.

To drive the launch Snowbird is offering deep discounts to wholesalers for the first four months and telesales teams will be incentivised.

All the food safe, fully cooked products will microwave or oven bake from frozen, reducing preparation times, fire risks from fryers and cooking odours.
