A new super star has been unveiled for the Snowbird foods range of Gourmet Sausages. It is a traditional Lincolnshire made to a fabulous recipe and within weeks of its launch it proved a big winner.

Accolades in the British Pig Executive (BPex) Foodservice Pork Sausage of the Year awards were two coveted golds, plus silver and bronze awards. (See News Section – Golden Double for Pre-Cooked Sausage).

The Snowbird Gourmet range comprises high quality, 75% minimum pork content traditional sausages made from the finest fresh ingredients which are minced and mixed and filled into natural casings to create that firm, meaty texture and deliciously plump crescent shape. A complete range of cooking styles is incorporated in the range: steamed, grilled, oven-baked, fried and traditionally smoked, if required, offering customers every style of cooking.

Fully cooked, golden brown and ready to reheat from frozen.

With a smoky flavour (added by a secret process) introducing a new

dimension to our traditional Gourmet Pork Sausage and complementing the tastes of chilli, paprika, mustard and lemon, the product is being welcomed by pub groups, ready meals manufacturers and sandwich makers as well as frozen food wholesalers seeking to make their offer more interesting and therefore more profitable.

We recommend the links should be defrosted before being heated on a barbecue. In other circumstances Smoky BBQ Pork Sausages can be microwaved (in seconds) or oven baked from frozen.

Reheating Guidelines:

Microwave from frozen 800w: 1 x 80 gram sausage = 1 minute.
Oven bake from frozen 200˚C: 1 x 80 gram sausage = 5 minutes.
Adjust timings for product quantity and size.
Check core temperature of 72˚C has been achieved.
Return to microwave or oven if further heating is necessary.
